Plum Wins a Freddie Award

What's a Freddie, you say?

The Freddie Awards are also known as The International Health and Medical Media Awards. According to their website www.thefreddies.com, the awards serve as the "preeminent international media competition devoted to educational health and medical productions". All entries are judged based on “content, educational value, originality, and production quality”.

Plum's entry, "Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair," for Central DuPage Hospital took top honors in the Surgery category. We faced some pretty prestigious competition including entries from both CNN and Discovery.

So how exactly did our editor Jay deal with all the cutting and fine detail of surgery and not lose his lunch

“Piece of cake. I’m used to cutting video all day. So yeah, a little surgery doesn’t both me”.
