Plum Moving Media Receives Awards for Video Production, Online Video & Social Media

Milwaukee, WI – April 3, 2012 – Plum Moving Media earned recognition for its creative productions in two recent local and global media competitions.

The Business Marketing Association of Milwaukee awarded Plum 5 Excellence awards. Two awards came in the category Video Production / Sales, Product or Corporate Promotion for “Business Simplification” and “Building Efficiency Story" completed for Johnson Controls.

The BMA also awarded Plum three Excellence Awards for its holiday campaign in the categories of:

  • Video Production / Online Production Video
  • Social Media / New Media and,
  • Self Promotion

This holiday campaign featured a printed holiday card, along with a branded holiday microsite and 25 video clips that were distributed on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

The 33nd Annual Telly Awards, a global film and video competition with more than 11,000 entries, awarded Plum honors for two videos. Plum's work with Hearst Marketing Resources and WESTconsin Credit Union won a Silver Telly Award, the highest honor, in the category of Public Relations for the “Refuge Farms” video press release. The video led to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel featured story on Refuge Farms resulting in a flood of donations and heartfelt stories as more than 900 readers contacted Sandy Gilbert, the organization’s founder.

Snap-on’s “Rescue Rig” video, which Plum produced, won a Bronze Telly award in the Miscellaneous category. The three-part video series is posted on You Tube and has already garnered more than 12,000 views.
