Mikaia is a graduate of UW-Milwaukee with a major in Film and a minor in English. During her time at school, she worked at the cinema on campus as an Operations Manager and studied abroad in the UK.
In 2018, she interned at Plum Media and continued to freelance with Plum after the internship. Mikaia then worked filming and editing videos for multiple popular YouTube channels, where she tailored the videos to the ever-changing habits of online viewers.
Fast forward to 2020, Mikaia's status as "Freelancer" at Plum was changed to "Full-Time Employee."
